FAQ
As a host of a Virtual Book Club on hiitide, there is no heavy lifting needed from you! We will provide you with all of the materials to help you be successful. The only thing you are asked to do is promote your book club to your friends, family, co-workers, social media, etc. The more members you bring in, the more successful the book club will be.
hiitide’s team develops done-for-you virtual book clubs which include a MicroCourse, a 28-day daily curriculum with assignments meant to be completed in just 15 minutes. You will receive a registration page for each Virtual Book Club you host, where your members will learn about the bookclub and register. You’ll have a private space in the hiitide app and web experience with a discussion board only the members of your bookclub will have access to. Weekly emails will be sent as your bookclub reads and follows along the MicroCourse over the 4-weeks. Lastly, as a hiitide Virtual Book Club host, you and your members have access to a Live Q&A with the author of your book club. You and the members of your book club will maintain access to the MicroCourse content, assignments and responses in perpetuity.
hiitide partners directly with authors to augment the reading and learning experience. Each author is involved in the creation of the MicroCourse and joins the Live Q&A’s to answer your questions! Authors also have access to the bookclub messages to answer your members questions.o.
hiitide offers three different pricing options for all book club members. The Book Bundle option includes does include the book in the registration price. We will purchase the book and send it directly to the members. For the other pricing options, the book is not included in the price of book club admission. When a member registers, they will be given links to online and/or local book stores to purchase the book. Book clubs do not require members to purchase the book, but the experience will be much stronger with the book. Our book clubs are compatible with all types of book experiences, hard copy, audible, kindle and more.
As host, you’ll be eligible to receive 40% of the revenue generated from any member of your book club, so the more members who sign up, the more money you can make on a monthly basis. If you choose not to be paid directly, you will choose from a handful of social causes and charities selected by hiitide and/or the author. That revenue then goes to the social cause/charity.
As a host, by choosing to be paid directly, we’ll send you access to our secure system, where you’ll enter your personal/business bank information. Once we have verified your bank account, you’ll be paid monthly for any revenue generated in your book club(s).* All payments will be made in $USD and are not converted to other currencies by hiitide.
*Your revenue to donate or keep is ONLY based on the book club you host, not the monthly crew hosted by hiitide.
Our Virtual Book Clubs begin on the 1st of every month and registration for each book club ends after the first week. On the 8th of each month, registration for the next month’s session begins.
Each Virtual Book Club is 28-days long with a daily MicroCourse alongside reading the book. Though the book club has an end date, we run book clubs each month, take it again or revisit your saved work later.
